This wedding was a ton of fun. We just came off the back of another great wedding just the night before for another great couple, Nicole and Scott who also had a magificent night.
Katie & Daniel had their ceremony in the beautiful chapel at Intercontinental. This made a fantastic start to the day. Katie walked down the aisle to an acoustic piano version of the Savage Garden classic “I Knew I Loved You“. This version was performed by Mateo Oxley and is a beautiful choice.
The signing of the registry songs were “Better Together” by Jack Johnson and “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz. A couple of classic songs that really work well together.
The final song as the celebrant, Toni Paget announced them as husband and wife was “Everlasting Love” by Natalie Cole.
The heavens opened towards the end of the ceremony and the rain came absolutely pouring down! Everyone stayed inside the chapel for a while and got some great group photos with photographer Ben Blance and video footage from Scott Thomas.
Then it was time for guests to make their way to the bar before reception started.
The styling in the room looked fantastic and was done by Style on Q. We accentuated it by adding some yellow uplighting around the room and to also bring out the beautiful brick work in the fireplace behind the bridal table. The room looked fantastic.
When all the guests returned, I was providing live acoustic music outside as they enjoyed some drinks and nibbles. Shortly after, it was time for everyone to make their way inside and be seated for the arrival of the bridal party.
The bridal party entered to “Sweet Lovin‘” by Sigala and Katie and Daniel entered to Queen’s classic, “You’re My Best Friend“.
The cake cutting song was “Sugar” by Maroon 5. A very popular choice!
Katie and Daniel chose “Stay With You” by John Legend as their first dance as husband and wife. This beautiful song is definitely right for the mood and is surprisingly not very commonly used. Great pick Katie & Daniel!
And following the bridal dance … it was a packed dance floor all night long … check out these pics …
When it came time to say goodnight, it was time for a sparkler tunnel send off outside …
Thanks Daniel & Katie for allowing us to be a part of your special day. We were honoured to have been a part of it.
