We were proud to have provided our entertainment service to Kate & David at Coolibah Downs on Friday the 10th of November, 2017.
As the couple had us all day, we provided some ambient music as their guests arrived and entered the chapel. When Kate arrived to walk down the aisle, she walked down to meet David to “All of Me” by John Legend. When it was time to sign the registry, the couple selected “Lucky” by Jason Mraz and “Better Together” by Jack Johnson. The couple were announced as husband and wife and walked back up the aisle to “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Stevie Wonder which got everyone bopping along and created a very uplifting experience.
The couple chose to include Nik’s live music option, so the guests were then entertained with some live acoustic music and vocals over canapes, adding a relaxing and chilled element to the day. After this it was time for the guests to make their way into the reception area.
Kate and David opted to have Nik be their master of ceremonies, so he introduced the bridal party and the bride and groom as they all walked in and strutted their stuff to “Rock this Party” by Bob Sinclar. Nik provided some ambient relaxed music over the entrees and then delivered his jazz vocals over dinner, singing live renditions of hits from Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra, Al Green, Robbie Williams amongst many more classic crooners.
When it came time to cut the cake, Nik played Michael Buble’s version of “How Sweet It Is”, which was followed shortly after by the dance floor opening. Kate chose the beautiful option of sharing the first dance of the night with her father and they danced to the very emotional “Butterfly Kisses” by Bob Carlisle. It was then the turn for the couple to share the dance floor and they chose to share their first dance together as husband and wife to the very popular “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran. This was followed by inviting all the guests to join them with Rod Stewart’s version of “Have I Told You Lately”. After this, Nik started slowly bringing up the tempo to have everyone having a great time tapping their toes or getting up and dancing.
Towards the end of the night, it was time for the unmarried ladies to get onto the dance floor and try their luck at catching Kate’s bouquet, which she threw to “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper. After this, it was the boys turn to catch the garter which was removed to “Leave Your Hat On” by Joe Cocker.
At the end of the night, Kate & David chose to have their final dance with the family and friends to “I’ve Had The Time of My Life” by Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes, followed by all the guests forming a guard of honour as the couple exited to “We Go Together” from the Grease soundtrack.
Thanks again to Kate & David for entrusting us and allowing us to be a part of your special day.
We wish you both all the very best of everything life has to offer.
