What a wonderful couple, what a wonderful day and what a magical night it was for Louisa & Mitch as they sealed their love with a kiss at Austinvilla Estate on Sunday the 8th of September 2019.
It was an absolute honour and a pleasure to be their wedding entertainer. I felt I got to know the couple very well having had a few catch up meetings with them both. (We always try and meet with our couples a few times so that we feel we are friends on the wedding day, not just hired help).
The fires were burning in the hills and there was a bit of haze, but this didn’t stop the day being amazing nor the passion burning between these two newly weds. The ceremony was expertly and professionally handled by the always amazing Robert Simmons. We took care of the ceremony music to leave Robert weave his magic as he calmly took Mitch and Louisa from being fiances to be married!
The bridal party walked down the aisle to “1973” by James Blunt followed by Louisa to the classic “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri. After they sealed their vows with a kiss, it was time for the signing of the registry. They chose to have “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran and “You & Me” by Boyce Avenue for this moment. Then it was time for Robert to formally announce them as husband and wife, all the guests applauded and threw flowers as the couple exited to “Beautiful Soul” by Jesse McCartney.
The couple then performed a dove release which was a beautiful touch as they released the two white doves to the sky.
Whilst the couple were away with photographer (Lee Calleja Thomas) getting some stunning photos, I entertained guests with our live music option.
When they returned it was time for the party to start. All the guests were seated and ready for the arrival of the new Mr & Mrs Chaffey. As MC, I introduced each bridal party couple and then the newly weds whilst playing “Can’t Stop This Feeling” by Justin Timberlake. Over meals, I switched to live jazz vocals and sang a few jazz standards to set the romantic mood of the night. The room looked fantastic with our addition of uplights all round the room, bringing out the natural beauty of the sandstone style brickwork.
After speeches and the main meal, there was some “down time” whilst waiting for desserts to come out so we played a couple of great fun and interactive games that got everyone having a great time and ready to hit the dance floor.
Their bridal dance was to “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran and following this the dance floor came alive with so many guests all taking a turn to strut their stuff.
Thanks so much Mr & Mrs Chaffey for allowing us to be a part of your special day.
Lots of love,
Nik & Nat
xx
