Selfie Stick Wedding Photo Booth

March 16, 2015
Selfie Stick

We had the pleasure of being at a great wedding on Saturday night where we saw something for the first time that is bound to take off … a selfie stick wedding photo booth.

Their certainly was no shortage of people lining up to use this simple, cheap but effective idea.  The great thing about it was that people could use their own phones, and simply used social media with a special hashtag to instantly upload any photos taken.  This way the bride and groom were able to save a lot of money by only needing to invest in the price of a selfie stick and some props.

If you are on a budget, this could be a great option for you.  It is the first time we have seen it, and it seemed to work very well.  If your venue allows for a corner that you can dedicate to become the “photo booth” area this might be a great option for you.  The only thing I would suggest however is to perhaps invest in some lighting to keep the area well lit.  When dancing starts and the house lights go down, things can get a bit dark and the flash option on phones tends to wash out the photos a bit.  Investing in hiring a white light might be well worth it

Just a quick post to share what we see.  We love it when we can share new ideas!
Warmest wishes,

Nik Reeds
